Let me start off by saying this, I have had skin issues my entire life. From as early on as I can remember, I have always had skin issues. Whether it is eczema allergic reactions to any fabric I would be sitting on, or just anything that my skin doesn’t like. I can remember going to my piano lessons and having to bring a hand towel to sit one so my skin wouldn’t flare up.
As I got older, I learned how to take care of my skin by eating right, drinking enough water, exercising, and getting enough sleep. Skin is our largest organ so we see the effects or wear and tear on it first.
All of this changed when I moved to Okinawa, Japan for my husbands job (USMC). There is a lot of active embargoes on fruit and vegetables so my clean eating took a s$$$ basically. As well as the select few fruits and veggies being so expensive, I regularly buy asparagus for $19.99 a pound that we cannot afford to eat clean. It sucks.
As soon as we moved here, I got huge flare ups. No matter what I did. The water is harsh, so I got water filters. The air is crappy, so I got air purifiers. There is constant mold due to the humidity hovering around 90%, I clean like a maniac everyday. Nothing helped. I started getting my eczema patches no matter what I did, and I am talking bad. Like worse than I have ever had in my life hands down. As a 30 year old woman in the beauty industry, I was used to taking care of myself, but I was genuinely at a loss for successful options. I tried the dermatologist, Honest Co healing balm, Lemongrass Spa healing elements balms, colloidal oatmeal treatments, Lush’s Dream Cream, countless body washes, essential oils, hydrocortisone (to see if it was just my allergies), and every kind of lotion I could find. Literally nothing worked and there was no relief. Not to mention how much money it had seemed like I just wasted.
I gave up for two years and just attributed it to my diet. Not eating my fresh fruits and veggies like a normally do. I started to see advertisements for
and thought well maybe. Then I started to hear my clients talk about it. I am a makeup artist who also does organic spray tanning as well as hair styling so I definitely work with a lot of people. And then I thought well maybe.... but I had spent sooooooo much money trying to get rid of my eczema that it took awhile for me to actually place order. I finally decided on Eczema Honey Nourishing Lip Balm, Eczema Honey Original Skin-Soothing Cream, and Eczema Honey Soothing Scalp Oil. I eagerly awaited my shipment. As I have previously stated I live in Okinawa so mail takes forever sometimes.
Once I finally got it, I tried it at night time. Took my shower before bed and busted out my soothing cream. The first thing that struck me is how the product wasn’t balmy or oily at all. Very very smooth thin feeling product. Now I am normally used to heavy creams and ointments so I was actually very skeptical in the beginning.
The next morning, I had a wakeup like a disney princess from small woodland creatures. The small patches that I get in my creases (under boob, thighs, elbows, neck, etc) had softened to the point of almost disappearing. I am talking spots that I had consistently for 2 years where almost invisible! No longer raised and itchy!!! I literally couldn’t even believe what was happening!!! The first use!!!
Now my chest is another story, this constantly is red and inflamed but slowly but surely it is going away I can’t wait to try my other products. I utilize more of a scientific method when it does to trying new things so I only do one product at a time. I can’t wait to see what my scalp feels like after the oil!!!
THANK YOU EZCEMA HONEY CO!!!! YOU TRULY ARE THE MVP!!!
Warmly,
The girl with the most skin issues
